Wedding restroom planning for outdoor weddings

Couples spend months on flowers and lighting, then think about restrooms a few weeks out. Planning them earlier is easy and makes a real difference to how comfortable guests feel through a long day.

Map the day, not just the guest count

Walk through your timeline: arrival, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, send-off. Notice when guests will be near the restrooms and when they will all want them at once, often right after the ceremony and during dinner breaks. That pattern helps decide placement and whether to add a second restroom or a double-sided handwashing station.

Placement that respects the photos

Your photographer will appreciate restrooms that do not appear in every wide shot. Pick a spot off the main sightlines from the ceremony and head table, but not so far that guests in heels are walking across a field. Level, firm ground keeps units stable.

  • Keep units out of ceremony and portrait backgrounds
  • Keep the path short, smooth and lit
  • Leave room for a delivery vehicle to reach the spot
  • Check venue rules on vendor placement and arrival times

Lighting and comfort after dark

Our units have motion-sensor lighting that turns on when the door opens, which helps once the reception moves into evening. Consider path lights or string lights so guests can find the restrooms. Mulberry or mango fragrance disks help keep things pleasant.

Handwashing is worth it

Weddings mean food, drinks and dressy clothes. A single-sided 16-gallon station works for smaller gatherings, and a double-sided 26-gallon station lets two guests wash at once. Our Small and Large Event Packages already pair restrooms with handwashing.

Guests who need an accessible unit

Think about grandparents and anyone using a mobility aid. Accessible units are available on request. Confirm with us whether the specific unit and your placement spot work for your guests.

Color and the overall look

Our units come in blue and pink. Some couples choose pink to suit a garden palette. Colors are confirmed based on availability.

Common questions
