Lake Geneva Oktoberfest
We provided portable restrooms for Lake Geneva Oktoberfest. The event went well, and it led to a yearly contract. For a young family business, that was an important step, and it showed us what a busy public event asks of a restroom setup.
That Oktoberfest work also earned us a referral to Visit Lake Geneva for Winterfest. A referral is not the same as having served that event, and we describe it here only as a referral.
What a busy festival teaches
Public events bring waves of people at once, so placement and walking paths matter as much as the units. Food and drink service raise the value of handwashing nearby. Events that run into the evening benefit from the motion-sensor lighting in our units. These are the kinds of questions we ask any organizer, whatever the size of the event.
- Where will lines form, and will they block walkways or vendors?
- How will a delivery vehicle reach the placement area?
- Is handwashing needed near food service?
- Do any attendees need an accessible unit?
