Experience with community events
In our first season we completed two city contracts. We also provided portable restrooms for Lake Geneva Oktoberfest, and that event led to a yearly contract. We share that as context for how we work, not as a promise about any particular date or location. Every event starts with a conversation about what you need.
Planning decisions that shape a festival setup
The right number of portable toilets depends on details only you know: attendance, how long people stay, whether food and drinks are served, and how spread out the grounds are. Rather than guess with a generic formula, we ask about your event and talk through options with you.
Placement matters as much as quantity. A bank of units near the food area may get heavy use, while a far corner of a park may need its own spot so people are not crossing the whole site. Think about where lines can form without blocking walkways, vendor booths or emergency access.
- Expected attendance and peak times
- Food, drink and alcohol service
- Event hours, including after dark
- Layout of the grounds and walking distances
- Delivery vehicle access and level ground
- Accessible unit needs for attendees
Handwashing at public events
Festivals with food benefit from dedicated handwashing. A double-sided 26-gallon station lets two people wash at once, which helps where traffic is steady. A single-sided 16-gallon station suits smaller spots. Organizers should check with their local authorities about any requirements for their specific event.
Evening events
Motion-sensor lighting in our units turns on when the door opens, which is useful for festivals that run past sunset. You may still want to consider area lighting so guests can find the restrooms easily.
Common questions
- Can you tell me exactly how many units my festival needs?
- We talk it through based on your attendance, hours, food and drink service and layout. We do not rely on a one-size formula, and organizers should also check any requirements that apply to their event.
- Do you serve events outside Elkhorn?
- We are based in the Elkhorn area. Share your date and location and we will let you know what we can do.
- How do I get pricing?
- Pricing is quote-based. Call or text (815) 529-1180 or send a quote request with your date, location and event details. A quote request does not reserve a unit until we confirm with you directly.
